How’d it go? – Bartholomeus

Leo was unhappy, but not surprised, when the captain had excluded him from the princess grab. He had taken Bartholomeus, of course, even though a ship doctor had nothing to do kidnapping princesses. It was frustrating. If Bartholomeus was so important, then he should have stayed back and let the rest of the crew do what they were hired to do.

Now they where back. He had only gotten a glimpse of the princess and her guard. The guard had been a snobbish looking fella… just the kind you would expect from a noble family. Golden hair. He wondered if Bartholomeus would trade out the dear captain for a new, more prestigious plaything… or if he was the type to have his eye on the princess.

That at least he was pretty sure he would not get far with. The captain had sounded very dangerous when he told them not to touch the girl. That better also mean Bartholomeus, even if he was the captain’s favorite.

He tried to get a glimpse at the doctor. He should be back too. He better give him some information now that he had been kept out of the plan.

Bartholomew was indeed back from the mission. After Red had grabbed the princess, and Bartholomew had made sure no one was dying, he'd made his way to the part of the ship he thought of as 'his'. A small cabin with some books and the most important equipment needed to keep the crew alive.

He pulled out a chair, grabbed a book and settled down. He supposed he could get a few minutes, before the next injury.

But a few minutes of peace he would not be getting! Leo spottede ham hurtigt, ved sit sædvanlige sted og gik hen til ham. "Hey doc" brummede han og skævede ud over havet "how'd it go?"

Bartholomew så lidt overraskede på Leo. Den unge mand havde gjort det meget tydeligt at han ikke brød sig om ham, alligevel kom han tit og forstyrrede hans fred. Hm, måske præcis derfor. "It went well"

Leo fnøs da han nærmest ikke fik et svar. Men sådan var det med lægen, han synes han var for god til at snakke med den almene besætning. Især Leo. "Yeah? Who's the extra?"

Bartholomew lukkede sin bog, da det ikke virkede til at blive en kort samtale. "The princees had a bodyguard" informerede han og skævede mod Leo

"Yeah?" Leo rynkede brynene og skævede mod lægen "couldn't bring yerself to kill him?"

Bartholomew rynkede brynene lidt af Leo. "You know we try to keep casualties low" sagde han, måske lidt formanende

Leo sukkede svagt "right" han fnøs "why bring him here?" he was sure the doctor had his eyes on the noble...

Bartholomew rynkede brynene lidt. "Well" han så på Leo. "He didn't really seem like he was going to let us take the princess quietly"

"Why not just knock him out or tie him at the island?" spurgte han skeptisk -_O

Bartholomew trak på skuldrene. "It's not easy knocking someone out without causing permanent damage. Oh, and Red think he'll fatch a nice ransom too"

"Hrmph, I'm sure he does." fnøs Leo "he is pretty. You gonna go look at his wounds?" -_O

Bartholomew rynkede brynene lidt, havde ikke troede den aristokratiske mand var Leo's type .. og kunne ikke lide at han tog fejl. "Yes, I am"

"Right" fnøs han og rystede på hovedet "he looks like a man who hasn't had to work a day of his life."

Bartholomew overvejede det lidt. "You might be right about that" vurderede han. "Didn't know that was your type?"

Leo fnøs "My type?" spurgte han skeptisk "is that how it is?"

Bartholomew blinkede og rynkede brynene. "Isn't it?"

Leo fnøs "no" sagde han irriteret "I don't like them fancy like that."

Bartholomew rynkede brynene lidt, no he didn't. "No, I didn't think so"

"Didn't you" -_o' havde han lige været bekymret "you get him all to yerself."

Bartholomew blinkede og kom til at smile lidt. "Right .."

Leo skulede mod ham... and he was smiling... looking forward to it e_e' han fnøs og så ud over havet "should have taken my on the mission."

Bartholomew hævede et øjenbryn af ham. "What would you have done differently?"

"Not taken the pretty boy" brummede han -_O
