Introduction - Angela and Baptiste

“Do we look here?” Angela så imod kameraet og smilede prøvende. Hun kunne godt lide realityprogrammer. Ideen om at det her skulle kunne give hende og Baptiste klarhed i deres forhold dog… hun var skeptisk. Hun var slet ikke sikker på hun købte konceptet! Men… hun var heller ikke den der havde stillet ultimatummet, så det gav måske mening nok.

Der blev spurgt ind til hvordan de havde mødt hinanden.

”We met… what is it, 3.. 4 years ago? We work at the same hospital. Baptiste was the nurse at the wing I was focused on. He was just a breath of fresh energy. Really great with the patients, all the patience in the world… fun and charming, without overstepping any boundaries. At had many, many patients request him. And he isn’t just good at the social aspect, he is also very skilled. He was great to work with. Soon we had many late nights, and it ended with us going out to get lunch together when our schedules aligned.. or eating at the cafeteria at night. We got to know each other pretty well. At some point those lunches turned more into dinners and then it became dates.. we’ve dated for 2 years now.”

Intervieweren nikkede “and who gave the ultimatum?”

Baptiste smilte svagt til Angela og så mod kameraet. "Well, that'd be me" indrømmede han og kløede siglidt i nakken. "I felt it was time to move on, as Angela said, we work well" han rynkede brynene lidt. "I'd like to make it official". Official that he and Mauga was over. Men det sagde han ikke højt.

Intervieweren nikkede og så mod Angela "so why the hesitation?"

"It's just difficult with work" sagde Angela og rynkede brynene "now doesn't seem like the right time. I am working on an important projekt, my research is at a critical point and now hardly seems like the time to take time off, look at houses or thinking kids"

Baptiste kom til at smile lidt, havde hørt lignende argumenter mange gange før. "The thing about Angela" startede han. "She's always busy with work. Very dedicated to helping others, I love that about her, but she could use taking some time to herself"

Angela kom til at smile "... perhaps. But this time it really is bad timing..." forsikrede hun kameraet!

"And what are you hoping to gain from this experience?" spurgte intervieweren!

Baptiste rystede på hovedet med et svagt smil. "Well .. I suppose I'm hoping for closure" han rømmede sig lidt. "Closure on this argument" tilføjede han hurtigt

"I would also like to see how it'll go.. it is a place to look inward and confront some fears" sagde Angela "I might need that, to take the next step"

Baptiste nikkede og rynkede brynene lidt. "Yeah .. me too" indrømmede han

Angela smilede til Baptiste "let's come out of this stronger" sagde hun

Så blev de takket for interviewet og ført ud og gjort klar til at møde de andre detalgere!
